New Facility Design & Build

JFD can provide expert support to nations seeking to develop an escape training facility. Working directly with a navy’s submarine division, JFD will assist in the identification of training needs, the development of requirements for a new facility and provide cost-effective options to achieve safe, effective escape training.

Once a suitable solution has been identified JFD can help nations bring it to life by providing project management and consultancy services throughout the process.

Facility Maintenance

For many years, JFD has provided technical support and maintenance services to the United Kingdom’s Submarine Escape Training Tower (SETT) at Gosport. Our electronic, hydraulic, life support and mechanical engineers are available on an ad-hoc or service-contract basis to ensure the on-going availability of escape training facilities.

JFD can help to bring facilities that have not seen recent use back in line with current standards and best practice, prior to bringing them back online for escape training. JFD can also upgrade existing facilities to provide new or advanced capabilities. Please contact us for more information.

Facility Operation

As the world’s only fully commercial providers of submarine escape training, JFD is uniquely able to offer qualified and experienced personnel to operate an escape training on a day-to-day basis.

On a contract-for-capability basis, JFD can be relied upon to provide an operational SETT, to an agreed level of service, year round.
